At Huhtamaki we are committed to utilising new and sustainable materials that are safe for food, which perform well, and are recyclable.
This enables Huhtamaki to achieve a minimum of 95% fiber content by product weight, for hot and cold cups, representing a significant reduction in the PE content by comparison with cups manufactured using standard PE coated board.
Future Smart™
A renewable plant-based PE barrier coating where the fossil oil-based PE lining is replaced with a sugarcane plant-based alternative. Suitable for cups, food containers and ice cream.

Our Bioware range comprises products which are compostable via industrial composting facilities or at home. Hot cups, fibers lids, kilo trays, plates and bowls which are designed and made to minimize environmental impact.
