ProDairy is highly functional and is designed to meet the stringent performance standards required for dairy products. ProDairy delivers a lower polymer content than traditional alternative packaging for yoghurt and dairy, addressing consumer demands for reduced plastic in packaging.
Innovation and technical expertise
Huhtamaki has developed a unique flat rim design and rim forming process, ensuring excellent top rim sealing. ProDairy also benefits from a unique, proprietary sealing varnish technology which ensures strong side seam sealing.
For ProDairy, a varnish is used to replace the traditional outer PE layer of the cup, significantly reducing the plastic content. This varnish maintains a paper-like feel with a matt finish and provides a high moisture barrier for products stored in chilled conditions.
