Huhtamaki Nederland BV operates from a site in Franeker, in the north of The Netherlands. The company was established in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands) in 1907. In 1938 the company started with the production of molded fiber egg trays. Shortly after that the product range of molded fiber packaging increased, including egg cartons. In 1956 the production of molded fiber products moved to a new plant in Franeker.
Locally Huhtamaki Nederland BV employs more than 150 employees and develops, produces and sells a wide range of molded fiber packaging (egg cartons, egg trays, cup carriers and protective packaging).
